nice and comfy

stayed here in January '07 and loved it. we stayed in cabin 22 "studio jacuzzi cabin w/ fireplace." the cabin was clean. had a small problem with the shower doors but the problem with addressed promply. if you're going to stay here during the winter, let the hot water drip overnight. that way the pipes do not freeze and you can enjoy warm showers when you wake up.

This is a lovely place on the lake. I can't imagine what would have caused the previous guests to be so unhappy on the reviews. A friend of mine recommended this place to me as one of the nicest in Big Bear. I tried it and loved my stay at this relaxing lodge. I did not encounter anything like the other guests write about. I'd recommend this place!!

Very poor and sad reception

Called to make reservation. Receptionist or should I say comedian answered the call. Very very rude, will never stay here if I freeze to death in Big bear. Be aware, people.

What a Dive

Managers wouldn't provide towels or soap. Charged us when we left for towels that were already dirty. Woman at desk was testy. Don't stay at this one--plenty of other good ones.

Poor Management

This hotel has an "unsatisfactory" rating with the Better Business Bureau. The management changes the prices when you walk in on a busy weekend and have been consistently rude to customers. When we asked them to honor the price printed on our reservation, the manager said, "Go somewhere else."

NASTY RUDE MANAGEMENT, NASTY DIRTY ROOMS

Director almost hit my wife. It was the worst long weekend in my life. Rats all over the place. Dirty bathrooms and rooms. Carpet age is 200 years old, with stains. Staff and director don't care about anything. Police arriving in this dirty place every 30 min. This director needs to be locked in jail for the rest of his life. Towels were dirty. My dog has bigger room size than rooms in this (I can't call this a hotel) ugly place. Danger- director's dog almost bit my kid. It was unleashed and going any place. This place needs to be locked out. Don't waste your money like I did.
