None of the Usual Problems Found at Similar Hotel/Water Park Properties
Review From: rudnak, Jun 9, 2008
Reviews of combination hotel/water park properties often yield the usual complaints about something, whether it¿s quality, cleanliness, customer service, food, etc. Remarkably, the Best Western Sterling Inn is consistently free of such criticism.
For a hotel that presumably relies on ¿Michigan¿s first hotel with an indoor water park¿ to attract guests, one might expect deficiencies in some areas, particularly with food. Almost without exception, this is the number one reason travelers criticize similar properties.
However, the adjacent Loon River Cafe not only serves quality grub, but it¿s an award-winning restaurant. Yet despite the accolades, it still features a reasonably-priced menu, which is sure to satisfy traveling families.
With its 22,769-square-foot indoor water park (which requires staying at the hotel to get admission), it¿s not hard to assume that families are the primary type of guests at this hotel.
Although there is the expected element of noise¿how could there not with a hotel that entices excited children?¿business travelers have reported positive experiences at the Best Western Sterling Inn that also features a conference center.
Noise can be¿and is¿a potential issue, and travelers should certainly ponder this if considering a stay at the Best Western Sterling Inn.
Travelers have had mixed reports about how the hotel manages youthful noise¿including some potentially fictitious horror stories. However, in comparison to other hotels that feature indoor water parks, the Best Western Sterling Inn¿s reputation definitely seems a cut above the rest.
Located in Sterling Heights, a suburb northwest of Detroit, the Best Western Sterling Inn is about 40 minutes from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.
