Stylish Art-Deco Hotel with Convenient Beachside Location
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
With a prime location facing the Gulf of Mexico, the Best Western Ft. Walton Beachfront provides access to crystal-clear waters and white-sand beaches. This convenient location is also close to many attractions. The Destin Fishing Museum and Big Kahuna's Lost Paradise Water Park are both located six miles away. Pensacola and Panama City are also within close proximity. The six-story hotel features a canary-yellow exterior and a stylish art deco interior with bright pastel colors. The lobby is adorned with black-and-white photos and fishing maps illustrating the area's attractions. The 100 guest rooms feature the same bold colors and style. Rooms facing the waters have balconies with gulf views. Amenities include cable television, refrigerator, microwave, and Continental breakfast. The hotel features an outdoor pool with ocean views and a poolside cabana bar. At night, guest can enjoy live music at the Swizzle Stick Lounge, known for its array of martinis. The hotel does not have a restaurant on site but there are many dining options within walking distance. Laundry facilities are available but with only one washer and one dryer servicing the entire hotel, the wait for an available machine can be excruciating. All in all, the Best Western Ft. Walton Beachfront offers a fun atmosphere with eye-opening décor and a convenient location to the beaches.
