The horrid experiences that I had at this place are no laughing matter. I checked in at this hotel in the evening after attending a business conference in the Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. The next morning I had to take a flight to New York City. I was handed over the keys to the room with a smile from the reception staff. As soon as I entered into my room, I was greeted by shredded drapes that had fallen off the rods. I put my bag down and went over to the bed and noticed that the bed linen was dirty and had some big stain spots toward the foot. I asked the front-desk to give me another room, to which they responded rudely. Things were no different in this room also. Although the drapes and the bed sheets were OK, the carpets had big stain spots. The tiles in the washroom were also filthy. I had my dinner from a nearby restaurant and returned to my room late in the night. At 4 a.m., I checked out of the hotel. If any of my business meetings ever take me back to this part of Florida, I know where not to stay.
