Relaxing Resort with Live Seals
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Jun 9, 2008
Located a block away from the white sand beaches of Mission Bay, the Bahia Resort offers great views of the San Diego Bay and Pacific Ocean. This secluded 14-acre estate includes its own marina, mile of beach, and a seal pool at its entrance featuring three harbor seals. The 320 guest rooms are spacious and decorated in a tropical theme. Many of the rooms have direct access to the beach. High-speed Internet access and dual-port phone lines are available in every room. There is plenty to do at the resort besides visiting the beaches. There are two lighted tennis courts, a large swimming pool, and family spa. Children can enjoy the spacious playground and watch live feedings of the harbor seals twice a day. Complimentary sunset cocktail cruises aboard the resort's two sternwheelers are also offered. While the resort is convenient to the beaches and Sea World, it is located 7 miles from downtown San Diego. It is also close to an airplane flight path so occasional noise from aircrafts are to be expected.
